Replication

Plarion has the facilities for injection moulding and UV replication, producing items with nanometre resolution cheaply, consistently and quickly.

While injection moulding provides excellent cost-effectiveness on high volume production runs, the initial cost of mould production can be prohibitively high for small run prototyping applications. The alternative method of replication in UV curable laquer has no such requirement, needing only a stamper to replicate with high accuracy.

Plarion has facilities on-site for both methods of replication, as well as industry contacts to assist with stamper production.

Applications lie in the areas of:

  • semiconductors
  • MEMS/NEMS (micro/nano electro-mechanical systems)
  • photonic crystal LEDs for liquid crystal displays
  • optical components
  • biological or chemical templates
  • microlenses
  • microfluidic channels

We can help with moulding these, plus a wide range of other applications.
