 Robert Longman is Managing Director of Plarion Ltd and VP of Engineering at ACAL Energy. Bob has over 20 years experience in top level technical management, developing optical storage products, from his many years as Technical Director at Plasmon Data Systems Ltd. Bob conceived of and managed the development of UDO (Ultra Density Optical) data storage media and drive technology through from drawing board to final product.
 Dr Jitka Brynjolffssen is a Senior Scientist, with a PhD in Chemistry, and 23 years experience developing organic recording materials. Jitka is the technical lead in development trial design and manufacturing process engineering. Her latest project involves development of focused laser readout of decoded DNA with high optical contrast.
 Dr Richard Lione is a chartered physicist holding a PhD in Chemical Physics who has 12 years experience developing optical discs and manufacturing techniques. In particular, he has been actively involved in tuning optical and thermal properties of organic/inorganic thin films for optimal laser recording / readback properties. Richard is managing a project to develop methods for patterning biological materials with small feature sizes on optical discs.
 Dr Jackie Cole is a physicist with 8 years experience in Systems Development in the optical media industry, developing media testing systems and software, and programmable formatting for mastering of all the major optical formats as well as bespoke formats for client projects. Jackie has a mathematical background, and an interest in complex encoding algorithms such as CRC and Reed-Solomon ECC. Jackie also manages the Marketing activities at Plarion.
